Laughter Yoga Workshops

Laughter Yoga is a unique activity combining fun group interaction, deep breathing, pressure point clapping, childlike playfulness, and finishes with a guided relaxation meditation.

Developed by Dr Madan Kataria, a medical doctor in India, Laughter Yoga began in 1995 with five people in a park in Mumbai. It has now spread to over 73 countries with thousands of laughter clubs world wide.

The psychological and psychological benefits of laughter include:-

Improved immune system through the release of endorphins from the brain.

Boosts number of antibody producing cells.

Enhances effectiveness of T-cells.

Lowering of the stress hormone cortisol.

Lowers blood pressure.

Assists cellular repair.

Enhanced cardiovascular health through deep breathing, which provides more oxygen to the brain bringing increased energy and alertness.

Natural pain relief.

Better social relationships.

Relief from anxiety, stress, and depression.

Scientific studies show the body's immune system doesn't differentiate between real and pretend laughter. Even the anticipation of laughter has been proven to release endorphins!

Laughter Yoga provides a platform in which to laugh for no reason without relying on jokes or funny movies. There are no actual yoga poses or exercises involved, just unconditional laughter, freedom and inner joy!

Laughter Yoga workshops usually run for one hour in-person or online, but can be tailored into 30 minute sessions to suit an individual, group, office, family function, or event, with specially designed laughter exercises. A stress busting team building laughter boost!
